Back in the mindset

Wow, itâ??s been over a week. Not good. But being busy, preoccupied and tired, I just wasnâ??t feeling, as Ben would call it, The Bloggerâ??s Mindset. This part the most:

â??You become much more observant. Bloggers are observant people. They have to be. They need something to put into their blog tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that. The Blogger Mindset means that youâ??re always looking around for something interesting to spur on a post. It might be a funny anecdote, an experience youâ??re having in life, or a song youâ??re listening to that triggers an idea. Youâ??re always asking, â??How can I turn that into a blog post?â?â?

When youâ??re on, this last paragraph couldnâ??t be more true. Itâ??s a great feeling too.

But when youâ??re off, itâ??s just an odd feeling. Kind of like when you sit down at the keyboard and everything feels awkward. You either hit the keys real well, or your fingers just canâ??t type what your head it telling it to. Thatâ??s what happened to me this week with the blog. My head wasnâ??t processing all the blog cues I was picking up.

Hey, itâ??s not that I wasnâ??t observant, itâ??s more like Iâ??ve been a little too preoccupied â?? in a good way â?? to pick up on the little things that make a good post. But Iâ??m back and in the zone.

Look out.
